Every employer is required to ensure that his employees are familiar with fire safety and firefighting. The training for small fire extinguishers was created for this purpose. In an intensive 1.5-hour training, your employees learn how fire arises, how to prevent it, and if necessary, how to extinguish it.
Why train with small fire extinguishers?
The Belgian Royal Decree of 28 March 2014 regulates fire protection at the workplace. Among other things, is there to read that every employee must have the knowledge that enables him to avoid fire, fire risks and to evacuate efficiently.
This means that you have a legal obligation to have your staff attend the small fire extinguisher training course. In addition, you have to undertake an evacuation exercise at least once a year.
What do the courses for fire protection mean?
Safety4All organizes two types of training, each in 1.5-hour sessions:
- Fire protection (small fire extinguishers): You will learn how to open safely the door of the room where it is burning. You learn to extinguish a starting fire and find out how much time you have to extinguish a fire. You will also receive all sorts of practical tips.
- Evacuation training: You learn to evacuate all persons present in a burning building purposefully. Special attention is given to less and / or non-mobile persons. You will work with the dummy doll “Jeffke”.
How does this work?
On our YouTube channel, you will find some videos that were taken during our trainings. We use a digital system to teach the correct extinguishing technique.
